Google API Services Usage Disclosure

Limited Use Statement

Cooper's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cooper does not use, transfer, or sell Google user data, including raw, aggregated, anonymized, or derived data, to create, train, or improve any generalized or foundational artificial intelligence or machine learning model.

Google Data We Access

When you connect a Google account, Cooper requests access to basic account information and, depending on the features you use, to data in your Google Workspace account such as email, calendar, and files. Cooper accesses this data only to perform the tasks you ask of it. Google shows you what Cooper is requesting before you grant access, and you can review or revoke that access at any time in your Google Account permissions.

How We Use Google Data

Cooper uses Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features of the Services, at your direction. For example, Cooper may use this data to find and summarize information you ask about, help you prepare and send communications, manage your schedule, and work with your documents. We do not use Google user data for any purpose unrelated to providing these features.

AI and Machine Learning

Cooper uses artificial intelligence to carry out the tasks you request. To do so, Cooper may process Google user data with AI models, including models operated by third-party service providers acting on our behalf. These providers are contractually prohibited from using the data to train or improve their models.

We do not use Google user data, whether raw, aggregated, anonymized, or derived, to create, train, fine-tune, or improve any generalized or foundational AI or machine learning model, our own or anyone else's.

Prohibited Uses

Cooper does not:

• Use or transfer Google user data to create, train, or improve generalized or foundational AI or machine learning models.
• Sell Google user data.
• Use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
• Use or transfer Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• Transfer Google user data to data brokers or information resellers.
• Transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the features you use, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to you.

Human Access

Cooper personnel do not read your Google user data unless:

• You give us affirmative permission to view specific data, for example when you ask for support.
• It is necessary for security purposes, such as investigating abuse or a security incident.
• It is necessary to comply with applicable law.
• The data has been aggregated and anonymized and is used for internal operations in accordance with applicable privacy and legal requirements.

Storage, Retention, and Deletion

We protect Google user data with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest. We retain Google user data only for as long as needed to provide the Services, or as described in our Privacy Policy and your agreement with us.

You can disconnect your Google account from Cooper at any time, after which Cooper stops accessing your Google data. You can also revoke Cooper's access from your Google Account permissions. To request deletion of Google user data stored by Cooper, email privacy@askcooper.ai.
